Workshops

Lightkeepers

An online series of poetry workshops for adults.  These are for anyone who wants to play with poetry, whether you’re beginning, returning or looking for new ways in.

Every month we play with a different theme to spark new poems. The month includes:

  • Three live workshops
  • One group sharing and feedback session
  • Access to our gallery of activities and suggested reading/watching/listening

Workshops and feedback sessions are 1 hour long and take place on Zoom, for up to 15 participants. Upcoming themes include: Thresholds, Songs and Shapeshifters.

Find out more and book your place at Lightkeepers.co.uk.

Poetry vs. Colonialism

Directed by poet Laila Sumpton, this project explores our connections to colonial histories and legacies through the senses, and through poetry. The first workshops were held at the Being Human festival in 2020, led by Laila Sumpton, Sandra A. Agard, Keith Jarrett, Nick Makoha and myself.

We are currently developing workshops and teaching resources for secondary schools. Please get in touch if your school is interested.

I run poetry translation workshops alongside translators from a variety of languages into English.

Kew Gardens

I lead poetry and creative writing sessions for Kew Gardens as part of their community learning programme. These are open to community groups working with kew. Contact them here.
